We’re on a mission to help save one of the Earth’s oldest inhabitants from extinction by creating pretty, ocean inspired jewellery and accessories.

This week a brand called ‘Honu‘ contacted me asking if we could collaborate and I literally jumped at the chance to work with them. I’ve seen quite a few big influencers promote this brand before so I was already quite clued up about what they represented and was delighted that they asked to work with me too. I can’t lie, I’m not one to jump at buying a product because an influencer has promoted it but the message behind this brand really caught my attention and I loved the concept behind it.

So basically Honu is a jewellery website with a twist, that being, that their main goal is to help save the endangered sea turtles by donating 10% of their sales to the Sea Turtle Conservancy in Florida. So not only do you get beautifully made jewellery, you’ll feel good about knowing you’ve made a small impact on turtles lives just by supporting their brand.

Now 6 out of the 7 species of sea turtles are endangered and we want to do all we can to help prevent their extinction. That’s why we’ve partnered with the Sea Turtle Conservancy in Florida. After all our overheads we donate 10% of our profits to aid their amazing work.

For those of you who don’t know, Honu is a jewellery brand inspired by the ocean and in particular, sea turtles. In fact their name ‘Honu’ is actually the Hawaiian name for the green sea turtles that swim in the pacific ocean – how cute is that?

So there are all kinds of products on their website, they sell, rings, necklaces, bracelets, anklets and earrings which are all so beautifully designed. They have a very luxury feel to them and they don’t feel or look cheap when they’re worn. Out of their range of products, I chose three gorgeous rings which suit my personal style. I didn’t think I’d like animal inspired jewellery but these rings are really classy and knowing the concept behind the brand gave it that meaningful touch which I thought was special. I’m also known to wear thin, silver, delicate rings so these suited me perfectly. I chose two turtle rings surprisingly and one plain silver band which to me represented a wave in the ocean. I absolutely love them!

‘We dream of a world where our oceans are free from the pollution of single-use plastic – and we’re not the only ones. Everyone can make a difference, whether it’s swapping single-use bottles for reusables, or filling a bag with plastic rubbish the next time you go to the beach. If we all make small changes, together we can make a massive difference – and our Dreamer collection is a symbol of this’- Dreamer Ring

If you purchase 3 items off their website, you’ll automatically get 20% off the total (no code needed) which is another incentive and remember anything you buy from their site will help to save the turtles, so even if you bought it as a little gift to someone, not only have you treated a loved one, but you’ve also impacted on the turtles future and I think that’s guilt-free shopping at it’s finest!

Another amazing thing about this brand is that they send your items in recyclable materials ensuring that they too are being conscious of their impact on the planet which is brilliant as brands tend to waste so much plastic which is totally unnecessary. They also have an amazing recycle scheme meaning, if your purchase gets damaged over time or you fancy a change, you can send it back to them free of charge and they’ll recycle it into something new and by doing so they’ll reward you with 20% off a new order – how amazing is that?

I’d just like to say a huge thanks to Honu for gifting me these gorgeous rings and to keep doing what you’re doing because your brand is making a difference to this world and it’s amazing to be a part of it.

Thanks for reading,
