This weekend I was kindly invited to stay in one of the most gorgeous luxury serviced  apartments in the heart of Kensington, London. I attended the stay with my friend for lots of wine, food and a good old catch up and what better place to spend it than with @crownlawnapartments!

Our serviced apartments in exclusive Kensington offer the perfect destination for both business travellers and families looking for a home away from home to base themselves from in London.

Address: 3-4 Ashburn Gardens, South Kensington, London, SW7 4DG

If you’re coming from the station, your nearest would be Gloucester Road and then stick your google maps on where it’ll take around 3 minutes to walk to, no uber needed.

Check In/Out

Our check in time was 3pm and our check out time was 11am.

One bedroom apartment 204

For one nights stay the total is £210 + VAT!

First Impressions

On our walk to the apartment from the station we noticed it was pretty much near everything you could want. It’s a walk away from the V&A, Natural History Museum & Hyde Park. We were also surrounded by lots of restaurants, supermarkets (Tesco, Sainsburys + Waitrose) and tea rooms which makes it the perfect getaway as everything is right on your door step. On walking up to the apartment, our instant reactions were just ‘wow’. The front of the building was surrounded by gorgeous pink flowers so pretty I even took a snap to show you all, then there were grey steps leading up to the huge black door. The outside entrance would be every instagrammers dream btw, white, black and grey exterior, we are living for it!!!

Once we were inside we were hit with the gorgeous smell of flowers, it literally hit us as soon as we stepped in which obviously makes a great first impression. Smell is always linked with good memories so the fact the place smelt amazing gave us a good impression from the get-go. I think they were our both first words on entering, ‘omg it smells amazing’. Also the corridors decor was right up my street, perfect for those instagram shots (tried and tested).

As you enter the room, again you’re hit with the smell of clean, fresh, floral scents which is so important because you want to feel completely relaxed, not opening the door to a dusty, musky smell, ain’t noooooobody got time for dat. It was exceptionally clean, tidy and the decor was very modern and up-to-date with the times. There was no unnecessary clutter or random decorations, everything had a place and purpose which for me is how I like it. Don’t get me wrong, it didn’t feel clinical, there were some homely touches which added a little character to the apartment such as flowers, photos and lots of mirrors (perfect for selfieing).

  • Dishwasher
  • Washing Machine/Dryer
  • Oven/Microwave/Toaster
  • All necessary cutlery
  • Microwavable crockery (I made melted chocolate with bananas loool)
  • Tea/Coffee station (Enough for one cup each so definitely stop off and buy some tea bags, milk and coffee if you go through more than one).
  • A breakfast bar with two sets
  • A table with two seats
  • Sofa for two
  • TV
  • Air con system

As you can see, it’s very plush isn’t it? And look, they even left us a huge fruit bowl, and a bottle of Red, CUTEEEEEEE!!!!

Again coming with the grey interior, very cute, two full length mirrors for those killer selfie shots and a wardrobe to hang all of your clothing in. The room was slightly smaller than I imagined as you could only walk one side of the bed but that’s fine because when you stay anywhere other than your bed, the only way you really get on it is to jump on it right?! Or is that just me..

The bed, probably the most comfortable bed known to life, with the softest sheets ever and pillows which felt like you were sleeping on a cloud, this is where the magic happens right?! So I guess if you had nothing planned for your stay, most of your time would have probably been spent in there..sleeping of course.

The only thing I would say is that there was a TV in the bedroom but it wasn’t facing the bed which was a bit confusing, luckily we aren’t TV fans and had spent most of our evening out so it didn’t affect us but for those TV addicts it would have been frustrating.  I did speak with the manager about this and they are getting it moved straight away so no need to panic hunssss.

Sparkly and Clean. The shower was easy to use, there were also towels and hotel slippers, cuteeeee.

  • Moisturiser
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Body Wash
  • Shower cap
  • Sewing kit
  • Personal care kit
  • Shoe shine (super cute)

Only thing I would suggest is to bring your own toothpaste, other than that, they cover you for a one nights stay with everything else.

  • Close to the station
  • Close to restaurants/supermarkets/attractions
  • Exceptionally clean
  • Shower was easy to use
  • Lots of toiletries
  • Wasn’t noisy
  • Comfy bed
  • Lots of wardrobe space
  • Spacious kitchen area
  • Instagrammable
  • Lots of mirrors to get ready in
  • Complimentary Fruit bowl
  • Nice area

  • TV was in a weird position
  • The apartment was really hot (we need an easier guide to work the heating)
  • No walk space beside one side of the bed
  • Only enough for one tea/coffee each in the room (even though this is complimentary)

Where we dined

We went to dinner at one of the local Italian chains which was literally a one minute walk from our apartment which is ideal if you want a little get-away without going too far out. We also had breakfast at the CUTEST tea room in the morning which I 100% recommend you go to, it was called ‘Richoux’ and it’s decorated so grand and beautiful and the food was really delicious!

PIT: We was too hot (our fault for not being clever enough to work the heating)

PEAK: The comfortable bed + The tea room!

Honestly, the apartment looked exactly like the photos if not better, which is surprising as usually I feel slightly catfished online but the photos stayed true to the apartment and overall I was delighted with my stay.

We had the best time with @crownlawnapartments and it was nice to get away for the weekend. I’d like to say a massive thank you to LAK Apartments for having us stay with you guys, it was a pleasure to be invited and we cannot wait to stay with you again.

If any of you have any questions about our stay definitely hit me up on Instagram  @XO_DT and I’d be happy to help you with any enquiries you have in regards to our stay.
