BENEFIT COSMETICS TRAVEL-SIZED HAUL!

This week I was kindly sent a PR package from the babes at @benefitcosmeticsuk. Inside the box I received 5 travel sized Benefit products including one of my most favourite products of theirs, Air Patrol! I’m unsure why but I just think the mini sized products are so much cuter than the full-sized ones, they’re just so tiny, I’m obsessed!

Product 1 – The Porefessional Primer

What is a primer and why do we use it? We use primer because it creates a perfect base for your foundation to sit on. Some brighten your complexion, some help your makeup stay on all day and some even hide the appearance of your pores! This primer in particular ‘Porefessional’ is designed specifically to minimise the appearance of your pores and fine lines and it does just that. The primer also helps to mattify your complexion by absorbing any excess oil on your face, making it the perfect summer must-have product. Although it has a nude colour guide it actually turns translucent once its applied meaning it’s suitable for all skin tones so don’t worry about the shade when you see it. If you’re contemplating whether or not this works I have a cool trick for you to try, you see that piece of skin between your thumb and index finger? Stretch your hand out so the skin is tight, pop some product over those lines and watch them disappear. You will be instantly amazed!

Product 2 – Bad Gal Bang Mascara

Benefit Cosmetics are literally the bomb at designing mascaras, ever since I tried Roller Lash I haven’t purchased another brand since, no lie they are just the best! To be honest, I’m not really overly fussed about mascaras as I wear false lashes usually but when I tried BadGal Bang, I was literally shooooook. I told all my friends literally that same day and made them all go and purchase one because I was unbelievably flabbergasted at how this mascara creates lashes you didn’t even know you had. The only downside to this mascara, (gotta be truthful with you all), the product is quite wet, which isn’t a major problem but you do need to wipe the wand a few times before applying.

Product 3 – Air Patrol BB Cream Eyelid Primer

I actually used to work for Benefit Cosmetics and when the customers would ask me my most favourite product, this would be it. Such a strange choice seeing as Benefit have hundreds of amazing products probably way more exciting than this one, but to me I think this primer creates the most impact on solving your beauty dilemma the most. This product hydrates your eyelids, primes them before your eyeshadow, covers discolouration, reduces redness, protects you from environmental pollution and if those weren’t enough reasons, it also has an SPF of 20! The best trick I used to show when demonstrating this product is to pop some eyeshadow on your hand with and without primer and see the difference for yourself, you’ll be amazed.

Now can you see why I love it so much? Honestly the pigment of your eyeshadow comes out so much more and you actually end up using way less product because of this. Winnerrrrrr.

Product 4 – They’re Real Primer Mascara

I’m not gonna lie, I’m not as keen on the They’re real range of mascaras, I absolutely love the They’re Real makeup remover but as far as the liners and mascaras are concerned I’m just not as excited. As you know I’m not really a fan of mascaras so getting me to use one is hard enough let alone use a primer before hand (I’m a lazy mascara wearer) so I’m probably not going to use it, (honesty is the best policy). This primer is a lot different to the others on the market because it’s actually tinted dark brown whereas the others are usually white meaning you can wear it alone or with a mascara over the top. I have tried it on and I’m actually surprised that my lashes feel soft, I was expecting them to feel hard  and spikey but they feel all fluttery instead.

Product 5 – GoGo Tint

These tints are cheek and lip stains which can be worn as blusher and as a lip colour. If you add gloss to your lips then it’ll look like a lipgloss but you can also wear it matte and the good thing about these are that they’re kiss proof! Tried and tested! I’ve never used tints on my cheeks as I wear so much powdered makeup but I used to use it on clients all the time at work and they always loved it. This GoGo tint is a Cerise Pink shade which is not usually a shade I’d choose to wear however the colour is gorgeous and the product feels super moisturising and not drying, bonus!
